We are seeking a highly motivated Backend Engineer specializing in Rust to join our innovative Trading Simulation Platform team. In this role, you will develop, optimize, and maintain high-performance backend systems that power our cutting-edge trading simulations. Your expertise will help create scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions that enable traders and developers to test strategies in a realistic environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with distributed systems, leverage modern programming practices, and contribute to the evolution of a dynamic financial technology platform., * Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Rust to support trading simulation functionalities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and ensure seamless integration with front-end components and APIs.
- Optimize system performance and scalability through effective code practices, multithreading, and distributed computing techniques.
- Implement RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate real-time data exchange and system interoperability.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and code reviews to uphold high-quality standards across all development phases.
- Participate actively in Agile software development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Document system designs using UML diagrams and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ongoing support.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing backend systems with Rust in a production environment, ideally within trading or financial platforms.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture and experience designing scalable solutions for high-volume data processing.
- Familiarity with RESTful API development, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Hands-on knowledge of database design and management using SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server) or NoSQL (MongoDB).
- Experience working with version control tools like GitHub, Git, SVN, or TFS within an SDLC framework.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices including CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, debugging, and system design principles.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
