Job description

The Web Designer Student Worker will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining websites and web applications to support the department’s digital presence. This role provides hands-on experience in front-end and back-end development, fostering the development of key career-ready skills in digital literacy, problem-solving, and communication., * Design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications using HTML and other relevant programming languages.

  • Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and translate them into functional, user-friendly web solutions.
  • Optimize websites for performance, scalability, and responsiveness across devices and browsers.
  • Debug and troubleshoot website issues to ensure functionality and usability.
  • Implement updates, enhancements, and new features based on feedback and evolving needs.
  • Ensure all web projects meet accessibility standards and align with Maryville’s branding guidelines.
  • Stay updated on web development trends, tools, and best practices.
