Job description

SUMMARY: Manages computer resources on B.I.S.D.’s mainframe and mid-range computer systems, monitors system performance, supervises system security, tunes systems to maximize performance, maintains system documentation, monitors communications circuits, schedules routine and emergency maintenance services.

Requirements

  1. *Valid Texas Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
  2. *High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required in English;
    • Three years experience computer programming. Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) . Experience in server hardware,configuration,maintenance, and installation.* Experience in server software,configuration,maintenance, and installation.

PREFERRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related IT field, Computer Mainframe experience. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, staff and the school community. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
