Information Technology Firewall Engineer

TradeWind Services is seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer (or similar title) to support a critical network modernization initiative by implementing IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack capabilities across the enterprise firewall environment. This is a project-based assignment with an anticipated performance period of June 1, 2026, through February 25, 2027.

The selected candidate will configure and deploy IPv6 firewall policies using Palo Alto Networks technologies, translating existing IPv4 security rules into IPv6-compliant rulesets while maintaining the organization’s security posture. This role requires experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, and enterprise network security best practices., * Build and deploy Firewall rules.

• Build IPv6 interfaces on Firewall devices.
• Validate and troubleshoot Firewall traffic., * Must be familiar with, and comply with, all relevant health and safety requirements.
• Must be knowledgeable of emergency action policies and procedures, methods for reporting/resolving unsafe work practices or conditions to available cognizant professionals.
• Knows and complies with environmental, safety, health, and pollution prevention regulations, policies, and procedures for this position.
• Ensures own safety and safety of coworkers.
• Reports unsafe work conditions to immediate manager.
• Ensures that the five core functions of the Integrated Safety Management System are understood and applied when performing job duties.
• Ensures that operational excellence is achieved through appropriate implementation of conduct of operations.

• Bachelors degree and years of experience or equivalent.
