Job description
The Business Intelligence Consultant is responsible for leading analytical functions within key business areas. This role partners with business owners, project managers, and stakeholders to transform complex data requests into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations that drive operational and strategic decision-making., * Collaborate with business partners to gather and define detailed business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Create technical documentation and interpret specifications to support report development and analytics solutions.
- Create and maintains Power BI reporting solutions and dashboards.
- Develop complex SQL queries and perform data manipulation across multiple datasets and systems.
- Apply expertise in database design and data warehousing to improve data processing efficiency and reporting capabilities.
- Lead reporting and analytical projects from scope and design through implementation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for business data and analytical resources.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and timelines.
- Ensure adherence to established reporting standards, change management processes, and enterprise reporting governance.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to analysts and data delivery specialists as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Information Systems, Business, Statistics, Accounting, Management, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of related experience in reporting and analytics, preferably in healthcare.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Power BI or other coding languages such as SQL, SAS, Python, or R.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing analytical requests, building analytical solutions, and communicating insights to leadership.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across teams and with multiple levels of leadership.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision., * Master’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Statistics, Accounting, Management, or related field.
- 6+ years of related analytical experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Knowledge of healthcare analytics, including Clinical/Hospital Operations, Member Experience, or Quality analytics.
- Understanding of medical terminology, diagnosis codes, and procedure codes.
