Job description

Blu Omega is seeking a Cold Fusion Developer to support one of our clients, contributing to enterprise systems operations and modernization efforts. This role supports the development, enhancement, and maintenance of mission-critical applications that enable regulatory, scientific, and operational workflows. The position operates within an onsite environment and is responsible for supporting and modernizing ColdFusion applications while guiding the transition toward open-source, API-centric architectures. The role requires experience supporting and migrating legacy ColdFusion systems to modern technologies., * Maintain, debug, and enhance ColdFusion applications

  • Build new features using REST APIs and modern front- and back-end approaches
  • Develop advanced SQL queries and integrate complex database logic
  • Participate in modernization efforts, including prototyping and technical exploration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and validate new capabilities

Requirements

  • 3+ years of ColdFusion experience
  • Strong SQL skills (Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Experience with REST API design and integration
  • Effective communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to obtain FDA Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience migrating legacy systems to open-source environments
  • Understanding of deployments, environments, and full-stack support
  • Familiarity with modern web architectures and lightweight frameworks
  • Knowledge of containerization and developer tooling

Benefits & conditions

Salary Range: $79,999.00 - $83,000.00 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
