Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer to join our dynamic team that has experience working on IRS contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. You will be responsible for Java/Java EE application development and providing expertise throughout the software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment., * Design, develop, and maintain high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.

  • Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code.
  • Ensure application designs are in compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare and produce releases of software components.
  • Investigate and present alternatives and technologies for architectural review.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven hands-on experience in Java development.
  • Strong knowledge of Java and Java EE platforms.
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.
  • Familiarity with design patterns and software development best practices.
  • Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) and ORM technologies (e.g., Hibernate, JPA).
  • Experience with Spring Framework and popular web frameworks (e.g., Spring MVC, JSF).
  • Knowledge of build tools like Maven or Gradle.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Requirements as per Contract/Client:

Candidates must meet requirements to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance. These include a tax compliance records check, basic local police check, credit check, federal employment application and NDA forms completion.

An active IRS Moderate Risk MBI is a plus.

Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen and meet minimum length of U.S. residency., * Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
  • Certification as a Java Developer (e.g.,Oracle Certified Professional)
