Job description

  1. The Video Analyst is responsible for providing the Head Coach & Coaching staff with analysis of Colorado Rapids matches & training.
  2. The Video Analyst is responsible for supporting the Head Coach & Coaching staff with analysis of opposition.
  3. The Video Analyst is responsible for creating analysis to support Individual Player Development plans.
  4. The Video Analyst is responsible for developing content to communicate with club technical staff the club’s playing vision, identity and playing style.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities Team

  1. Support 1st staff ensuring filming of all team field activities (Training/Games)
  2. Coding of all team field activities (Training/Games)
  3. Complete video review of games: + Team + Unit + Individual
  4. Provide data to support analysis of game performance.
  5. Provide video review of training sessions: + Team + Unit + Individual
  6. Provide real time video for training and games: + Half time for games + Video clips for training exercises
  7. Provide game insights to coaching staff during games: + Opposition adjustments + Solutions to challenges + Provide evidence-based feedback.
  8. Best Practice Library creation/maintenance.
  9. Assist with Individual Development Plans (IDPs): + Data + Video + Field
  10. Track Key Performance Indicators as agreed upon by coaching staff.
  11. Provide post-game report for coaches: + Written + Video review

Opposition

  • Provide written opposition report for coaching staff:
  • Data
  • Formation
  • Lineup
  • Individual observations
  • Strengths and Weaknesses
  • Solutions/Game plan
  • Provide video scout of opposition.
  • Provide individual player scouts of opposition.
  • Provide Opposition Review
  • Assist in developing ‘Game Plan’

Meetings

  • Assist in creating and presenting video for the needs of players and staff

Requirements

  1. Proven knowledge of Professional Soccer & MLS
  2. Demonstrated ability to develop video and data analysis of
  3. Demonstrated ability to communicate with and educate players and coaching staff.
  4. Organizational and personnel management.
  5. Knowledge & experience managing player development processes.
  6. The Individual must demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and exhibit proper ethical behavior.
  7. The Individual must demonstrate good judgement and the ability to use their discretion to ensure decisions support club player development and the objectives of Colorado Rapids and KSE.[CC1]
  8. Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
  9. Must possess the ability to adapt to unpredictable circumstances and handle a highly demanding work environment.
  10. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task effectively.
  11. Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards., 1. US Soccer “A” License or equivalent.
  12. Minimum of 2 years working in professional soccer and/or professional coaching experience.
  13. Proficiency in English required additional language skills preferred.
  14. Proficient user of Sportscode, Wyscout, Statsbomb
  15. Proficient in use video recording equipment.
  16. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.

Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Requires mobility enough to travel. Moderate to loud noise and varying weather conditions.
