Senior Data Intregration Engineer

We are seeking a Senior AI Data Integration Engineer to architect, build, and operationalize enterprise-grade data integration frameworks that enable AI and automation initiatives across complex client ecosystems.

This role is not focused on traditional reporting pipelines or isolated integrations. Instead, this consultant will serve as a foundational engineering resource responsible for connecting, transforming, normalizing, and operationalizing structured and unstructured enterprise data into AI-ready intelligence layers.

The ideal candidate understands that successful AI initiatives depend on the quality, accessibility, interoperability, governance, and contextualization of enterprise data.

• Integrate structured and unstructured data sources into unified AI-ready architectures
• Develop resilient ingestion strategies for unreliable, rate-limited, or distributed systems
• Transform raw enterprise data into formats optimized for AI inference and automation workflows
• Support AI ingestion frameworks including:
• Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Knowledge base ingestion
• Semantic search preparation
• Embedding pipelines
• Vector database integration
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineering teams to define data preparation and contextualization requirements
• Help establish scalable enterprise AI data models and governance strategies
• Architect reusable platform primitives rather than one-off integrations
• Design highly scalable, maintainable, and observable integration systems
• Optimize pipelines and ingestion frameworks for:
• Performance
• Scalability
• Latency
• Reliability
• Edge compute constraints
• Build monitoring, logging, debuggability, and observability into all integration services
• Support distributed and cloud-native architectures
• Work directly with enterprise stakeholders to understand complex business systems and data ecosystems
• Partner with AI strategists, infrastructure teams, architects, and application developers
• Help clients operationalize AI and automation initiatives through intelligent data enablement
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical integration solutions
• Support secure and scalable data movement across cloud and enterprise environments

• Enterprise integration consulting, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred
• Equivalent practical experience strongly considered
• 5+ years of experience in data integration, backend engineering, or enterprise systems development preferred

$70 - $90 an hour - Contract
