Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled ADP Implementation Specialist for a 6 month contract with our client.

In this role, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and optimizing ADP payroll and HR solutions to meet organizational needs. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration with existing systems, delivering reliable and efficient payroll processing, employee data management, and compliance support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in system architecture, automation, and IT infrastructure, enabling them to deliver innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and security.

Candidates on east coast time zone preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end global implementation of ADP payroll and HR systems, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and technical standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solution architectures utilizing Service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.
  • Configure ADP modules in accordance with client specifications, including payroll, time tracking, benefits administration, and compliance modules.
  • Integrate ADP systems with existing IT infrastructure using RESTful APIs, VPNs, firewalls, and other networking protocols.
  • Develop automation scripts for system setup, data migration, and routine maintenance tasks to improve efficiency.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting support during implementation phases and post-deployment to resolve issues promptly.
  • Manage system tuning, performance optimization, server backup and recovery procedures to ensure high availability.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, architecture diagrams, and change management records.
  • Conduct system design reviews and participate in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) activities to ensure quality standards.
  • Support ongoing system administration tasks such as Active Directory management, storage management, load balancing, and security protocols.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with ADP platform configuration and software implementation processes.
  • Strong knowledge of RAID controllers, server backup/recovery strategies, and storage management.
  • Proficiency in solution architecture design within IT infrastructure environments.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python or JavaScript for automation purposes.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Kubernetes and virtualization platforms such as VMware or ESXi.
  • Deep understanding of operating systems including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
  • Expertise in network security protocols including VPNs, firewalls, DNS management, and information security best practices.
  • Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server; experience with SQL/T-SQL queries.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies; familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Git.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to system tuning, performance optimization, and system architecture design.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across technical teams and stakeholders worldwide.
