Job description
A Distinctive Schools Technology Coordinator is responsible for teaching small groups of students in technology-related learning activities and providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. Technology Coordinator will respond to campus technology tickets as well as network requests by analyzing issues, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions. This person will:
Instructional Support 20%
- Support teachers in professional development with digital tools for instruction (apps, programs, site navigation)
- Help document and update knowledge base content
Device Management 60%
- Manage/maintain current inventory records of all devices on campus and through asset management system (iPads, Chromebooks, Projectors, MACs, copiers, printers)
- Oversee all components of Device Home program
- Assist all building administrators and other staff with IT set up, installation, support, troubleshooting, and repair
- Monitor/resolve central ticketing system and IT requests
- Troubleshoot, upgrade, and perform basic repairs of staff and student devices
Systems Support 20%
- Troubleshoot WIFI issues
- Coordinate with Systems Administrator to troubleshoot rostering issues related to
- Clever and other applications
- Coordinate with Network Engineer to troubleshoot infrastructure issues such as
- Internet, security systems, telecoms
- Work with outside vendors to troubleshoot 3rd party systems related to security systems, telecoms, etc.
- Work with test coordinators during testing windows to troubleshoot any technology issues and needs
Requirements
Education: Associate’s Degree
Qualifications: 3 plus years of relevant technical support experience
Transportation demands:
- Access to a vehicle- position travels between multiple campuses on a daily basis
Technology demands:
- Edtech support background hardware & software support, mid-level understanding network environment, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and Windows or Mac Environments
- Familiarity with GAFE Google apps for education and the JAMF Casper suite
- Travel on occasion to assist at campuses within the region as needed
Physical demands
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 30% sitting, 50% walking, and 20% standing.
