Job description

Design, code, test, and maintain web and desktop based banking applications within the ARGO platform ecosystem (including ARGO Traditional Teller / Thick Client and newer web/API frameworks).
Write clean, maintainable code to customize ARGO workflow modules, screen layouts, business logic, and transactional pathways.
Conduct peer code reviews and enforce strict information security standards to safeguard financial data and prevent operational vulnerabilities.
Develop, debug, and support interfaces connecting the ARGO Teller platform to branch hardware, including Electronic Cash Recyclers (ECRs), check imaging software, document scanners, and terminal printers.
Design and implement secure SOAP and RESTful web services to integrate ARGO with external banking systems, middleware, and downstream transaction-clearing applications.
Write database queries and store procedures using DB2 or Microsoft SQL Server to manage configuration tables, data mapping, and electronic journals.
Strong Communication & Analytical Skills.

Requirements

5+ years of dedicated software development experience, with a minimum of 3+ years explicitly engineering within the ARGO Data platform.
Strong understanding of traditional client/server architectures as well as modern ARGO Web/API frameworks.
Proficient with relational databases, specifically writing and optimizing queries in IBM DB2 or MS SQL Server.
Familiarity with modern programming paradigms (Java, .NET/C#) and scripting (JavaScript, XML, shell scripts, or Visual Basic) typically used in banking environments.
Hands-on experience developing or consuming XML-based SOAP and modern RESTful APIs.
