Job description

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with both the operations and development teams. Your main responsibility will be to develop Infrastructure as Code to create infrastructure and communication in public cloud. You will:

  • Design and develop CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure as Code based on Terraform and Azure DevOps.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code supporting our applications and services for secure communication with IoT devices.
  • Design, develop and maintain IaC and configuration for Kubernetes.
  • Actively participate in an Agile development team, attending sprint meetings and contributing work items to the backlog.
  • Conduct testing, verification, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate infrastructure and different software platforms and ensure a stable and robust solution.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies in public cloud to enhance maintainability, performance, and functionality.
  • Document design specifications, test procedures, and project updates.

Requirements

You are an experienced developer who enjoys collaborating with others and solving complex problems. With more than three years of professional experience, you bring a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail to everything you do. Your excellent communication and teamwork skills help you thrive in an agile environment, and you are motivated by the opportunity to make a real impact. You also have:

  • Solid experience AWS and Azure public cloud technology.
  • Solid experience and knowledge of Kubernetes, both public cloud cluster services and orchestration.
  • Advanced knowledge of Terraform, knowledge of CloudFormation and Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Knowledge and experience of Kubernetes Operators, HELM, Kustomize and preferably ArgoCD or Flux.
  • A good understanding of the Infrastructure as Code development lifecycle and design principles
  • Experience with cloud governance i.e. AWS control tower, landing zone and identity centre is a plus.
  • Experience with Linux/Windows environments and Bash/PowerShell scripting.
  • Ability to document design specifications and infrastructure documentation clearly
  • Ability to mentor other team members and share your knowledge both in training sessions and day-to-day work.
  • Experience with application operation and monitoring is a plus.
