Job description

Castell Wealth Management is looking for a Data Analyst to take ownership of KPI tracking and reporting across the business. Specifically, this role looks at taking charge of and improving existing MI reporting, with the aim of giving advisers and management clearer, more consistent visibility of performance and compliance metrics.

The role is split across three main areas: monitoring adviser performance against pre-defined targets, supporting compliance processes through data tracking and flagging, and carrying out ad hoc analysis to surface opportunities across the business. The candidate will also be expected to ensure that the available data is updated and validated regularly., KPI Tracking & Reporting

  • Build, maintain, and refine dashboards and reports tracking key performance indicators across the business.
  • Monitor adviser performance against agreed targets and produce regular reporting for management.
  • Identify trends, bottlenecks, and outliers in performance data, and present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Compliance Process Support

  • Track adherence to internal compliance processes using existing data sources and flag any gaps or deviations.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance-related metrics to support audit and regulatory reporting needs.

Ad Hoc Analysis

  • Carry out ad hoc data analysis requests to investigate specific business questions as they arise.
  • Proactively look for patterns in existing data that point to commercial or operational opportunities.
  • Support wider reporting projects (e.g. AUM, retention, and inflow analysis) as required.

Requirements

Beyond the technical requirements, this role suits someone who fits a small, close-knit team and can work with a degree of independence day-to-day.

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A team orientated workstyle
  • Clear, confident communication, particularly the ability to translate findings
  • A willingness to learn

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • You can write and speak English fluently
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Reasonable working knowledge of Excel, including comfort with formulas and basic data manipulation
  • Experience using both analytical and critical thinking to solve problems
  • Some experience working with large or unwieldy datasets
  • Strong attention to detail - comfortable checking your own work and spotting inconsistencies.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarise data findings for people who don’t work with data day-to-day.
  • Comfortable working independently on routine reporting tasks.

Desirable

  • Experience using Salesforce, or a similar CRM, for data extraction or reporting.
  • Exposure to Power Query, Power BI, or basic Python/SQL.
  • Previous experience in financial services, wealth management, or a regulated environment.
  • Undergraduate in STEM or similar fields
