Job description

As a Payroll Tax Analyst, you will oversee and manage payroll tax compliance activities while ensuring accurate and timely reporting, filings, reconciliations, and issue resolution across federal, state, local, and international jurisdictions., * Process and manage payroll tax activities utilizing ADP SmartCompliance, ADP Workforce Now (WFN), Workday , and related payroll systems.

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all federal, state, local, and international payroll tax returns.
  • Reconcile payroll tax liability accounts and general ledger accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Review, research, and resolve payroll tax discrepancies, agency notices, penalties, and employee tax-related inquiries.
  • Audit payroll tax data, tax filings, and year-end processes to maintain compliance and accuracy.
  • Prepare and coordinate year-end payroll reporting, including accurate generation and distribution of W-2s and related tax documents.
  • Process retroactive tax adjustments and file amended tax forms, including W-2Cs , when required.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting payroll taxes and implement necessary system and process updates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, HR, Finance, Accounting, and external tax agencies.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and leverage technology to increase payroll tax efficiency and data integrity.
  • Maintain organized audit-ready documentation for internal, external, and government audits.

Requirements

They’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Tax Analyst to join their payroll team in a critical role supporting multi-state and international payroll tax compliance., Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting , or a related field

OR

  • Associate’s Degree with 5+ years of Payroll Tax experience

OR

  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification)
  • Strong experience in:
  • Payroll Tax Compliance
  • Multi-State Payroll Tax Processing
  • Tax Reconciliations
  • Tax Filing and Reporting
  • Payroll Auditing
  • Agency Notice Resolution
  • W-2 and W-2C Processing

Preferred Systems Experience

  • ADP SmartCompliance
  • ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
  • Workday

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
