Job description
Lead MES strategy and delivery for Life Science clients as a Senior MES Engineer, acting as solution architect and technical leader for a well-established, employee-owned systems integrator. What You’ll Own:
- Act as solution architect, conceptualizing, detailing, and implementing MES solutions for industrial processes and machinery
- Lead a team of engineers through requirements gathering, MES platform evaluation, specification development, and implementation/testing/commissioning
- Develop MES strategy that integrates process knowledge, equipment design, and quality standards with IT to reduce downtime and elevate regulatory compliance
- Support integration with external systems such as DeltaV, SAP, LIMS, PI, and Maximo
- Oversee project execution, budgets, scheduling, and profitability on projects up to $1M

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Sciences
- 8-10+ years of overall MES experience, including at least 4 years in Life Science MES specifically
- Hands-on MES solution deployment experience (Werum PAS-X, Sepasoft, POMS, or similar)
- Familiarity with life science regulatory requirements such as cGMP and 21 CFR Part 11
- Experience with relational databases (SQL, Oracle) and historian/reporting systems
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams

Ability to travel up to 25% Nice to Have:
- Background at a systems integrator
- Track record of business development or bringing in new clients
- Full greenfield and brownfield system architect experience If you want to lead MES strategy for Life Science clients and eventually help build out a new regional office, this is a strong long-term opportunity.
