Requirements

  • Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) administration and engineering
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with Compute Engine (GCE)
  • VMware (vSphere/vCenter) virtualization
  • Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GPO), DNS, DHCP
  • Server provisioning and enterprise infrastructure support
  • Hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + cloud)
  • PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation
  • Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Enterprise load balancing (F5, AVI, or cloud-native) preferred, Seeking a hands-on Windows Platform Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise Windows infrastructure across on-premises data centers and Google Cloud Platform for a retail home security organization. This engineer will own Windows compute platforms, core Microsoft infrastructure services, VMware virtualization, and cloud-hosted Windows workloads while driving automation and operational excellence. What Recruiters Should Look For
  • 5-8+ years of Windows Infrastructure Engineering or Senior Systems Administration experience
  • Strong Windows Server engineering background before moving into cloud engineering
  • 4-5 years of hands-on cloud experience, ideally with GCP/GCE
  • Experience provisioning and managing Windows servers in hybrid environments
  • VMware administration (vSphere/vCenter, hypervisors)
  • Deep knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and authentication services
  • Experience with PowerShell and Terraform (or similar IaC tools)
  • Infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and production support
  • Data protection, platform stability, root cause analysis, and enterprise operations

Nice-to-Have

  • Enterprise load balancing (F5, AVI, cloud-native)
  • CI/CD and infrastructure automation
  • Cloud certifications (GCP, Azure, AWS)
  • Windows Server certifications
