Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and related technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of systems supporting Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR), collateral, and margin calculation workflows.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, quants, and risk teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Enhance performance and reliability of existing risk and margin platforms.
  • Ensure high-quality code through unit testing, code reviews, and best engineering practices.
  • Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Backend Java Developer to join our team, responsible for building and enhancing scalable, high-performance applications within a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with domain knowledge in Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR), collateral management, or margining systems., * Strong hands-on experience in Core Java / Backend Development

  • Proven experience working on financial systems, preferably within investment banking or capital markets
  • Solid understanding of at least one of the following domains:
  • Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR)
  • Collateral management systems
  • Margining (initial margin / variation margin)
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and REST APIs
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to derivatives, risk engines, or pricing systems
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks related to risk and margin (e.g., Basel, SIMM, etc.)
  • Experience working in Agile environments
