Job description

The Data Quality & Training Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity and consistency of organizational data systems while building staff capacity through training and support. This role serves as the internal expert for data standards, reporting workflows, and system best practices - ensuring accurate, reliable information that drives mission impact and organizational decision-making., * Maintain data accuracy and consistency across Mission Tracker, Blackbaud NXT, and related platforms

  • Conduct regular audits, validation reviews, and quality assurance checks to identify and resolve data discrepancies
  • Establish and uphold data governance standards, reporting definitions, and documentation across the organization
  • Collaborate with departments and system vendors to troubleshoot data integrity and system performance issues
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve reporting efficiency

Mission Tracker Subject Matter Expertise

  • Serve as the organizational subject matter expert for the Mission Tracker database
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of how Mission Tracker is configured, used, and connected to program operations
  • Partner with program staff to understand workflows, data needs, and how program activity is captured and reflected in the system
  • Translate program context into data standards, entry practices, and reporting processes that accurately reflect organizational work
  • Comprehensive training on Mission Tracker and programmatic elements will be provided

Training & Staff Support

  • Develop and maintain data entry guidelines, training materials, and procedural documentation
  • Provide onboarding, ongoing training, and refresher support to staff at all technical levels
  • Serve as the primary internal resource for questions related to data systems, reporting standards, and workflows
  • Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and strengthen data accountability across teams

Reporting & Insights

  • Collect, validate, and organize program outcomes and operational data for leadership reporting
  • Support board reports, grant reporting, impact reporting, and strategic planning
  • Help departments interpret data trends and improve the consistency of reported outcomes, * Achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual success goals as approved and by GRM benchmarks and strategic plan
  • Attend professional training and networking opportunities as directed
  • Attend staff meetings or other meetings as directed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Experience in data analytics, information systems, nonprofit data management, business administration, or a related field

Hands-on experience with CRM platforms, program databases, or similar organizational systems; experience with Blackbaud NXT or Mission Tracker is a plus but not required - training will be provided

Familiarity with data governance, reporting standards, and quality management practices

Experience developing training materials, documentation, or operational guidelines

Maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License and must have a clean driving record

Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Physical Demands:

Some local travel to other locations for meetings or other business-related needs

Requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds, * Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and quality

Employment Status:

Full-time 40 hours per week non exempt
