Job description

As a Quantitative Developer, you willbe responsible forbuilding data pipelines and implementing statistical models that support the management of a$285 billiongeneral investment account. You will collaborate closely with portfolio managers and strategists to translate research into production-ready tools that enhance portfolio analytics and decision-making. The role offers meaningful exposure to front-office investment activity across a diverse set of asset classes including fixed-income ETFs, structured credit, derivatives, and commercial real estate., In addition to top-line medical and dental coverage, personalized mental health solutions, on-site and virtual health coaching, and much more, MassMutual reimburses employees up to $1,250 per year for eligible expenses supporting mental, physical, and financial well-being.

Requirements

The immediate teamcomprisesa blend of quantitative developers and strategists who bring a strong analytical mindset and a passion for solving both technical and business challenges. Embedded within the broader R&D organization of Investment Management, the team supports the oversight of the firm’s$285 billionGeneral Investment Account. Known for its hands-on approach and intellectual curiosity, the team actively engages withnew ideasand evolving market dynamics, driving innovation through close collaboration and a proactive problem-solving culture, * Bachelor’s degree in computer science,engineering,math, informationtechnologyor related field

  • 6+ months of relevant work experienceincluding internships

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, informationtechnologyor related field

  • Experience in ETL pipelines, cloud, data architecture, and CI/CD

  • Keen interestto work in investments outside of the public equity market

  • Quant/ML modelingexperience

  • Excel and Python integrationexperience

  • Software developmentexperienceusing GitHub and Docker

  • MLOpsexperience

  • Experience with Anthropic Claude
