Job description

Providence has an opening for an experienced DevOps Analyst to support a large-scale IT initiative for a State of California agency. This is a long-term (approximately 3-year) contract engagement based in the greater Sacramento area, with a hybrid schedule combining onsite and remote work. W2 employment is strongly preferred.

In this role, you’ll provide analytical support across systems analysis, help desk operations, and DevOps practices, working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to keep mission-critical systems running smoothly. This engagement is scheduled to begin in the late summer.

Requirements

  • 5-9 years of experience applying analytical processes on IT projects.
  • At least 3 of those years must be in systems analysis and design.
  • Bachelors Degree (or 4 more years of relevant experience)
  • At least 1 project providing analytical support in a help desk environment using a ticketing system for a federal, state, or local government agency.
  • At least 1 project on a large-scale IT effort providing help desk analysis and troubleshooting for internal and external stakeholders in a DevOps environment., Experience with:
  • Microsoft Power Platform: Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Power BI
  • Data & Storage: Dataverse, Azure Data Lake, Blob Storage
  • Collaboration: SharePoint, Microsoft 365 / Office 365, Microsoft Contact Center
  • DevOps: ALM tools, deployment pipelines, branching strategies, and DevOps best practices
  • Security: FIDO2/YubiKey, role-based access control, cryptographic standards, and least-privilege principles

This is a relatively fast-paced environment where a proactive approach is appreciated. Candidates may be asked for references and sample work products. The selected candidate will be subject to a background check and must reside in the Continental US., * Bachelor’s (Preferred)

  • DevOps: 5 years (Required)
