Requirements

  • This is true automation architecture, NOT test automation / QA automation
  • Heavy emphasis on RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tools:
  • UiPath (preferred)
  • Automation Anywhere
  • Blue Prism
  • Will be hands on building out automation frameworks and workflows within UiPath
  • Candidate should be positioned more like an “Automation Solution Architect” externally (naming guidance)

Key qualifications / experience needed

  • Strong development background (critical - cannot be purely functional or managerial)
  • Deep, hands-on experience building automations using:
  • UiPath strongly preferred

Experience across:

  • Attended bots AND unattended bots
  • Document Understanding (DU) within UiPath
  • Working with broader automation ecosystem / integrating technologies, * How many bots have they built (quantify)?
  • Depth of UiPath usage (not just exposure)
  • Experience with test automation functionality within UiPath (not QA automation generally)

Domain / industry requirements

  • No specific domain experience required
  • Banking/financial experience NOT required
  • Focus is purely on technical automation expertise

Work environment / logistics

  • Hybrid required (3 days onsite) - non-negotiable at this stage
  • Some flexibility, but must align with Tower culture
  • Candidate must be:
  • Local (or clearly willing to relocate/commute)
  • Comfortable working onsite regularly, * True RPA experience (not QA automation)
  • Depth of technical knowledge

  • Future technical lead / mentor
  • Will:

  • Build automations directly while team is being built
  • Later lead and mentor incoming team members
  • Must be comfortable operating as a solo contributor initially
  • Team size is not defined yet - adaptability is key

Technical assessment expectations

  • Hiring manager is very technical
  • Screening will be:
  • 45 60 min technical deep dive
  • May end early if red flags are identified
  • Expect in-depth questioning on:

  • UiPath capabilities
  • Document Understanding (DU)
  • Bot development experience
  • Real-world implementation details
  • Candidates should be told upfront:
  • Interview will be highly technical
  • They will be expected to go deep on anything listed on resume
