Job description
We are seeking a Lead Power Platform Developer who enjoys being hands-on while mentoring a small development team. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform while providing technical leadership and promoting development best practices. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and developers to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that support engineering and operational initiatives., * Develop Canvas Apps, Model-driven Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate flows, and Dataverse solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical mentorship, troubleshooting, and collaborative solution design to development team members.
- Design scalable application architectures, data models, and solution frameworks.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and working prototypes.
- Build and maintain Power Query Dataflows and Power Automate integrations to streamline business processes.
- Develop and maintain reusable components, templates, and development standards to improve delivery efficiency.
- Lead solution deployments using Power Platform Pipelines and support version control and application lifecycle management (ALM).
- Ensure solutions follow governance, security, and best practices across the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support organizational safety policies, standards, and best practices.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development experience.
- Strong expertise with:
- Canvas Apps
- Model-driven Apps
- Power Pages
- Power Automate
- Dataverse
- SharePoint
- Strong understanding of Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and relational data modeling.
- Experience with Power Platform governance, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, connector governance, deployment pipelines, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor developers while managing individual development responsibilities., * Experience supporting Engineering or Utility industry applications.
- Familiarity with SQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and the Power Platform Admin Center.
- Experience developing reusable frameworks, shared UI/UX libraries, or development standards.
