Job description

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join a high-performing Platform Operations team responsible for managing a highly available, secure, and scalable cloud platform built on Kubernetes. This role focuses on platform lifecycle management, day-2 operations, observability, security, automation, and incident response, ensuring business-critical web applications and APIs remain reliable, performant, and secure. You will collaborate closely with Development, Security, and Product teams to maintain operational excellence while continuously improving platform stability and automation., * Manage and maintain production Kubernetes clusters and platform components across multiple environments (DEV, TEST, ACC, PROD).

  • Operate Kubernetes platform services including Ingress Controllers, Service Discovery, and Workload Identity.
  • Troubleshoot Kubernetes issues including networking, scheduling, DNS, resource constraints, crash loops, and pod lifecycle problems.
  • Perform controlled platform deployments, upgrades, maintenance activities, and rollback procedures.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call support, incident response, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and post-incident reviews.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve operational runbooks, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor platform health using observability tools including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting systems.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring dashboards, actionable alerts, and telemetry solutions.
  • Plan and execute platform changes following structured change and release management processes.
  • Manage platform security including RBAC, network policies, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and security patching.
  • Support audit activities by maintaining operational evidence and compliance documentation.
  • Automate operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps principles.
  • Collaborate with Development, Security, and Product teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency., * Kong API Gateway administration.
  • Redis operational management.
  • PostgreSQL administration in Kubernetes environments.
  • MongoDB administration and replication.
  • Kargo release orchestration with ArgoCD.
  • Experience with Harness.io CI/CD.
  • Supply chain security implementation.
  • Experience designing SLI/SLOs and error budget strategies.
  • Cloud platform operational governance.

Requirements

  • Strong production experience with Kubernetes administration and operations.
  • Expertise in multi-cluster Kubernetes architecture and lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience with ArgoCD, GitOps workflows, and Continuous Delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of Helm, Kustomize, Docker, and container orchestration.
  • Experience with HashiCorp Vault and secure secrets management.
  • Strong understanding of RBAC, Network Policies, TLS/mTLS, and Kubernetes security best practices.
  • Experience with observability tools including Grafana, Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics, Loki, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Hands-on experience with JFrog Artifactory, Harbor, and container registry management.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes networking, Ingress, Services, DNS, API routing, and traffic management.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and YAML-based deployment automation.
  • Advanced Bash scripting and infrastructure automation experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for distributed cloud-native environments.
  • Experience with change management, incident response, and operational support.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
