Backend Engineer - Apeldoorn

Requirements

Must have:

- 4+ years of relevant experience in Backend development - Hybrid working model, requiring 2–3 days per week in our Johannesburg office - Experience developing and supporting software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements - Experience collaborating with Frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements - Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API services - Experience working in an English-speaking environment - Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills - Experience developing backend systems - Experience in one or more of: Node.js, Java, Ruby, PHP, Python, etc. - Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into a single system - Knowledge of CI/CD practices is a plus - Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
