Job description

Plexible Digital Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced and results-driven Software Development Manager to lead software engineering projects, manage development teams, and support the delivery of high-quality digital solutions. This role is ideal for a technical leader with strong software development, project management, and people management experience who can guide teams, improve development processes, and ensure successful delivery of scalable technology products.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage software development teams across web, mobile, cloud, and business application projects.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Manage project timelines, sprint planning, development priorities, budgets, risks, and delivery milestones.
  • Work with product owners, clients, senior leaders, designers, QA teams, and stakeholders to define technical requirements.
  • Review code quality, architecture decisions, development standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Support the implementation of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Mentor developers, conduct performance reviews, and support career development within the engineering team.
  • Identify technical risks, resolve delivery challenges, and ensure software solutions meet business and client needs.
  • Monitor development KPIs, project progress, quality metrics, and team productivity.
  • Prepare technical reports, project updates, resource plans, and strategic recommendations for senior management.

Requirements

  • Experience in software development, software engineering, application development, IT project management, systems development, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous team leadership, engineering management, or software development management experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, Agile delivery, SDLC, DevOps, cloud platforms, databases, APIs, and modern development frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, PHP, or similar technologies is advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, technical teams, stakeholders, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Comfortable using project management tools, version control systems, CI/CD platforms, cloud services, reporting tools, and collaboration software.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a practical approach to technology delivery and business growth.
