Job description
As an IT Support Analyst, you will provide first-line technical support to colleagues across the business, resolving hardware, software, and system issues while ensuring excellent customer service. You will manage IT support requests from initial logging through to resolution, maintaining user accounts and supporting a range of Microsoft technologies. Working closely with the wider IT team, you will contribute to system improvements, IT projects, and the smooth day-to-day operation of the IT service., * Provide first-line IT support for hardware, software, and system-related issues across the business.
- Log, prioritise, and resolve support tickets within agreed service levels (SLAs).
- Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems where required.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and password resets.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software.
- Support colleagues across multiple systems and technologies with clear, practical guidance.
- Maintain accurate support documentation and update the IT knowledge base.
- Assist with IT projects, system upgrades, and continuous service improvements.
- Build strong relationships with users and deliver a professional, customer-focused IT support service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an IT Support or Service Desk role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, operating systems, and business applications.
- Good understanding of network fundamentals, configuration, and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proactive, organised, and solution-focused approach to work.
Desirable:
- Experience with cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure and VMware.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and IT security.
- Experience supporting Mitel phone systems.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g. Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL).
- Experience supporting a manufacturing or multi-site business environment.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- High Wycombe HP10 9QY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
