Android Software Development Automation of Tests Customer Data Management Data Integration Regression Testing Bug Reporting Testrail Crud

Job description

We are looking for a Manual QA Tester based in Poland to join our Growth Team - the team building the features that move Playbook’s revenue forward. You will be the person who actually puts our work through its paces before our creators and users do.

This is not a role for someone testing simple CRUD screens. Our team builds genuinely complex systems - things like automated email flows, CRM data pipelines, and property syncs that our account management team relies on to understand how creators are doing. Your job is to verify these systems actually work: that the right emails fire, that data lands in the CRM correctly, that properties stay in sync, and that the whole thing holds up at the edges. We expect this kind of work to grow more involved over time, not less.

This is a hands-on, manual testing role, and we mean that as a feature, not a limitation. You will own test cases, write clear reproducible bug reports, run regression passes before releases, and build a deep, end-to-end understanding of how the product behaves across web and our native iOS and Android apps. You will be the person who notices the thing everyone else missed.

This role is about manual testing done well - that’s the core of the job, and it’s where you’ll make your impact. If you want to grow into automation over time, there’s genuine room for that, and we’ll support it. But we’re hiring for the depth and rigour of your manual work first, not for automation skills., * Design, maintain, and execute manual test cases across web, iOS, and Android.

  • Test complex internal systems end-to-end - email automation, CRM data pipelines, property syncs - and verify they behave correctly, including at the edges.
  • Write clear, reproducible bug reports that engineers can act on without a back-and-forth.
  • Run regression testing ahead of releases and feature rollouts.
  • Build a deep working knowledge of the product and how its pieces fit together.
  • Get up to speed quickly on testing native mobile apps - across devices, OS versions, and store builds.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to clarify expected behavior and catch issues early.
  • Help shape and improve our QA process as we build it out.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a manual QA or testing role, ideally on a web or mobile product.
  • Genuinely detail-oriented - you find the edge case, the off-by-one, the thing that only breaks on the second try.
  • Curious by default. You ask “why does it do that?” and go find out, rather than waiting to be told.
  • You like process and structure, and you produce consistently high-quality, well-documented work.
  • A fast learner who builds an accurate mental model of a system quickly - and isn’t fazed by picking up mobile testing fast.
  • Comfortable owning your work. This is a small team where individual responsibility is real and visible - nobody hides in the crowd, and what you catch (or miss) matters.
  • Clear written English - most of your output is bug reports and test documentation read by engineers across timezones.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, async-first environment.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience testing native iOS and Android apps.
  • Experience testing data integrations, pipelines, or automated workflows.
  • Familiarity with tools like Linear, Intercom, TestRail, or similar.
  • Interest in eventually learning test automation - optional, and not the focus of this role.
  • Experience testing payment, subscription, or billing flows.
  • Genuine interest in the fitness and creator space.

Benefits & conditions

  • You sit inside the Growth Team - what you catch shows up directly in how fast we grow.
  • Real ownership over a QA process you help build from scratch.
  • A team that values directness, autonomy, and people who act like owners.
  • 100% remote, working European hours. Most of the team is in Poland and most of our work happens in the European timezone - you’ll have the occasional afternoon call with our US colleagues, but this is not a US-hours role and nobody expects more than a normal 8-hour day.
  • B2B contract (our preferred setup).
  • Paid time off built into the contract

About the company

Playbook is the #1 platform for fitness creators - the tools fitness trainers, athletes, and coaches use to scale their subscription businesses and build thriving communities.

With over 210,000 paid users and 64% growth since 2023, we power everything from workout subscriptions and one-time programs to challenges, livestreams, and creator CRM. We move fast and ship constantly - across web, iOS, and Android - which means a lot of surface area, and a lot that can break.
