Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to oversee and coordinate all information technology functions within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure, ensuring information security, and leading a team of IT professionals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our technological landscape, optimise systems, and support organisational growth through innovative IT solutions. The ideal applicant will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of modern IT practices and tools.

Duties

  1. Develop and implement the organisation’s IT strategy.

  2. Manage all IT operations across teh business.

  3. Lead and supervise all the staff in IT sales and marketing.

  4. Plan and monitor IT budgets.

  5. Ensure compliance with GDPR and information security requirements.

  6. Manage business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements.

  7. Lead software implementation.

  8. Manage relationships with external software vendors and suppliers.

  9. Produce management reports for directors.

  10. Develop IT policies and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • Applicant must have:
    1. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualifications in IT or a closely related discipline.
    1. At least one year of experience in an IT management or senior management role.
    1. Experience managing enterprise infrastructure.
    1. Experience in cybersecurity guidance.
    1. Excellent leadership and people management skills.
    1. Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
    1. Excellent written and spoken English.
    1. Knowledge of software development processes is advantageous but not essential.

This role requires a proactive individual with exceptional organisational abilities who can lead our IT department towards innovative solutions while maintaining high standards of security and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities combined with technical expertise across a broad spectrum of IT disciplines.
