Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS)

We’re looking for a New Jersey based senior cloud engineer to help design, build, and operate our core AWS-based platform supporting AI, data, and connected systems.

This is a hands-on role working across infrastructure, data pipelines, and application services. You will partner closely with leadership to shape the architecture and ensure the system is scalable, secure, and production-ready.

Responsibilities

• Design and build cloud-native infrastructure and services on AWS

• Develop backend services and APIs

• Build and operate data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics

• Implement infrastructure as code using AWS CDK and CloudFormation

• Contribute to system architecture and technical direction

• Ensure systems are reliable, secure, and cost-efficient in production

• Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, application, and data layers

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (compute, networking, storage, security)

• Experience building and operating production systems using infrastructure as code (CDK, CloudFormation, or similar)

• Experience designing and building backend services and REST APIs

• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar)

• Familiarity with event-driven and serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, etc.)

• Ability to debug and resolve issues across the full stack

Preferred Experience

• Experience building data pipelines or analytics platforms (e.g., Glue, Athena, Spark)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and multi-environment deployments

• Familiarity with identity and access management and authentication systems

• Experience working with frontend applications at a working level

• Exposure to IoT, edge systems, or device integration
