Job description

Design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for products (both internal and external) with focus on surpassing customer expectations, on achieving high quality and on-time delivery. Responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanism. Ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems. Creates, documents, and executes software designs which may involve complicated workflows or multiple product areas. Technical lead of one or more projects within one area of a product. Provides input to the technical direction for one area of a product. Occasional consults with customers in regard to future upgrades and products. Able to solve complex technical problems. Provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas. Works with minimal supervision on complex projects with wide latitude for independent judgment. Highly skilled with extensive proficiency and technical expertise.

Essential Functions

  • Identify and resolve complex technical challenges across distributed services and cloud infrastructure.
  • Lead development of internal tooling, shared libraries, and automation scripts for development and operational workflows.
  • Implement production code, conduct thorough code reviews, and lead service integration across team boundaries.
  • Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and pair programming.
  • Own requirements gathering and technical analysis, translating business needs into working software.
  • Ensure that appropriate reviews and unit tests are performed, including hands-on writing of automated tests and bug fixing.
  • Manage assigned projects end-to-end - scope, plans, deliverables - and communicate progress, risks, and technical decisions to stakeholders.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability to long-term platform challenges.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, and C# (ASP.NET Core).
  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
  • Hands-on design of microservices architectures and RESTful service APIs at enterprise scale, with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems patterns - event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and eventual consistency.
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS systems and access entitlements.
  • Experience with multiple database paradigms (document, graph, relational) in production, including Gremlin for graph traversal.
  • Own the full lifecycle of services from development through deployment, including reliability, scalability, resiliency, monitoring, and incident response in an AWS-hosted environment.
  • Experience building and maintaining observability stacks (Grafana, Datadog, or similar) for distributed services.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar), Docker, and code quality gates (SonarQube).
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and internal tooling.
  • Proven track record delivering in Agile/Scrum teams with sprint-based release cycles.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (NUnit, Moq, Mocha, Cucumber) and BDD/TDD methodologies.
  • Effective communicator across engineering teams, product owners, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Strong experience with AWS, including Lambda, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, Neptune, ElastiCache, ElasticSearch, ECS, and CloudFormation.
  • Understanding of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Understanding of IAM concepts, including role-based access control (RBAC) with hierarchical permissions is a plus.
  • Experience with malware scanning and endpoint protection tools (Trend Micro or similar) in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with AI/ML concepts and integration is a plus

Education and Experience Requirement:

Typically requires six to eight years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent
