Job description

Worx4U Software builds a unified business management platform for small and mid-size businesses. Our proprietary, industry-agnostic data model consolidates customer records, contracts, accounting, sales pipeline, messaging, service orders, and operational reporting into a single integrated system. Where most small businesses run their operations across a fragmented stack of disconnected point solutions, our customers run theirs on one platform with one source of truth.

We are live with customers today and continue to expand into new verticals. The platform, the team, and the customer base are all growing, and we are hiring to support that growth., We are building modern, customer-facing web applications on top of the Worx4U platform, including agent workstations, manager consoles, and self-service customer portals for our software customers. This role is focused on the frontend and its integration layer: turning a mature backend data model into clean, responsive, production-grade interfaces that real operators and end customers use every day.

You will work primarily in React and TypeScript against REST APIs served by Oracle ORDS, with authentication handled through OAuth2. The backend and data model already exist and are actively maintained; your job is to build the applications on top of them and make them excellent.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain React/TypeScript applications, including agent-facing workstations, internal admin consoles, and customer portals
  • Integrate frontends with REST APIs, handling authentication, session management, error states, and edge cases
  • Translate operational workflows and stakeholder requirements into clean, maintainable UI components
  • Implement responsive layouts and accessible, consistent interface patterns
  • Manage application state, forms, and data-heavy views (tables, dashboards, reporting screens)
  • Collaborate with backend developers on API contracts and data shape
  • Identify and address opportunities to improve existing applications and workflows

Requirements

  • React: component-driven development, hooks, and state management, with production-quality code including error handling and structured testing
  • TypeScript / JavaScript: comfortable with modern language features and typed component development
  • REST APIs: experience consuming third-party and internal APIs, including authentication, error handling, and retry logic
  • HTML / CSS: solid grasp of layout, responsive design, and styling (Tailwind or similar a plus)
  • SQL: proficient with queries, joins, and aggregations, or a clear ability to learn quickly
  • Version control: comfortable working with Git in a team workflow

Beneficial Experience

None of the following are required, but experience in any of these areas is a meaningful plus and will help you ramp quickly:

  • Accounting: familiarity with billing, invoicing, ledgers, or financial data
  • Texas utility / retail electric market: ERCOT, retail electric providers, brokers, or related domains
  • EDI: electronic data interchange and structured B2B data exchange
  • Service industry software: field service, scheduling, dispatch, or work-order systems
  • Enterprise software: building or maintaining applications for internal operations teams

Also helpful: Next.js, OAuth2 / OpenID Connect, Oracle ORDS or other database-backed API layers, and prior work in data-dense operational applications.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the US. We do not offer visa sponsorship.
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug test, We are open to candidates at a range of experience levels, including recent graduates with strong demonstrable React skills. The qualities we prioritize:
  • A strong sense of ownership over the applications and workflows you work on
  • A genuine interest in continued learning, both within the technical stack and in adjacent business domains
  • Attention to craft: writing code that you and your teammates can maintain six months from now
  • Persistence in working through difficult problems
  • Adaptability in a small-company environment where priorities can shift
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a small team
