Job description

We are hiring a Healthcare Project Manager for a state healthcare administration partner. If you are a structured leader who excels at guiding large-scale initiatives through complex lifecycles, this role offers an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact. You will lead the comprehensive transition of regional clinics from legacy cost-settlement structures to a modern Prospective Payment System , ensuring a seamless modernization across more than 200 provider locations., * Map out and maintain the critical path for the multi-year transition timeline, ensuring resource allocation and milestone tracking stay on target

  • Lead technical work streams, managing complex medical management information system updates and coordinating State Plan Amendments
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to delegate tasks, align team workflows, and meet crucial progress deadlines
  • Serve as the principal liaison for external executives, hospital CEOs, CFOs, and provider associations to ensure consistent messaging
  • Manage relationships across multiple internal financial and data sections to mitigate risks and keep system dependencies running smoothly
  • Coach and mentor project team members to strengthen their technical project management and fiscal oversight abilities

Requirements

  • Proven success managing full-lifecycle projects from initial planning through final closing
  • Solid experience presenting to and negotiating with C-suite stakeholders, including CEOs and CFOs
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical policy into clear public messaging
  • PMP Certification or equivalent professional project management experience
  • Experience working within or alongside state or federal government agencies is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with implementing project and task management software tools like Microsoft 365 or Monday.com
