Job description

JLGOV is seeking Full-Stack Developers to support a contract opportunity. Responsible for planning, designing, coding, testing, troubleshooting, integrating, and maintaining applications in a Python/Django environment. Supports security management, performance monitoring, and enhancements.

Contract Duration:

  • 2-year base + optional 2-year extension
  • Work: Remote with bi-weekly onsite in Brooklyn, NY

About the Role

Support NYC DOE facilities applications development. You’ll design, code, test, and maintain Python/Django applications across multiple systems including health/safety, capital projects, water testing, and AHERA management.

Requirements

Must Have:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • 4+ years Python/Django development experience
  • Expertise: Django 4.x, PostgreSQL, Redis, React, REST API development
  • Pass background check, drug test, and DOE security clearance
  • Based in Eastern Time Zone; able to commute to Brooklyn, NY bi-weekly
  • Valid government-issued photo ID

Nice to Have:

  • .NET/C# experience
  • Government or public sector project experience
  • Azure/cloud platform knowledge
  • SQL Server experience
