Job description
The Driver Pay Settlement Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of driver compensation by reviewing operational records, auditing transportation data, and preparing driver settlements. This role works closely with Operations, Dispatch, Payroll, Accounting, and Drivers to verify settlement accuracy, resolve discrepancies, maintain driver pay records, and ensure all payments are processed in accordance with company policies and established timelines., * Review and audit driver logs/daily routing with company TMS for driver pay settlement calculations.
- Identify, investigate, and rectify discrepancies, missing billing items & documents prior to finalizing settlements.
- Calculate driver pay settlement and process driver related deductions and reimbursements.
- Receive and post third party carriersā invoices and driver settlements.
- Schedule and prepare checks/ACH to pay drivers before due dates.
- Verify the accuracy of all driver pay settlement transactions with various departments and team members; follow up with drivers on discrepancies.
- Maintain and update driver pay rate profiles in company TMS systems.
- Setup and maintain all driver settlement pay related spreadsheets.
- Maintain and file all driver pay settlement documentation into corresponding folders.
- Process new driver setups and existing driver information changes in company TMS and accounting systems.
- Maintain driver profiles and pay settlement records.
- Assume other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associateās degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in transportation, logistics, accounting, payroll, driver settlements, or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other business applications.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and resolve discrepancies professionally.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, maintain confidential information, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (Cantonese/ Mandarin) a plus.
