Job description

We are seeking an Entry-Level Application Developer to join our development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or someone with internship or co-op experience who is eager to begin their software development career. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in application development, be passionate about technology, and be excited to learn from experienced developers while contributing to real-world business applications.

In this role, you will participate in the design, development, testing, debugging, maintenance, and support of business applications. You will work closely with senior developers, business analysts, and end users to build solutions that improve business processes and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, debug, and maintain business applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new software solutions.
  • Support and enhance existing applications by troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews and software testing activities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Research technical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Learn new technologies and development tools as needed.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and development activities when applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Internship, co-op, academic project, or personal project experience in software development is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of C# and .NET application development.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot software issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and grow as a software developer., * Exposure to the .NET Framework or .NET Core.
  • Experience with Visual Studio.
  • Basic understanding of PL/SQL or stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
  • Exposure to web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or ASP.NET.
  • Experience working on team-based software projects through coursework or internships.
