Business Intelligence Analyst

• Develop SOPs to improve operational output and maintain accurate historical data collection.
• Evaluate workflows, identify inefficiencies, and propose scalable, standardized improvements.
• Create, maintain, and publish SOPs and operational manuals within the company knowledgebase.
• Anticipate operational roadblocks across departments and implement proactive solutions.
• Report on KPIs established by Management and Ownership (on-time %, FPY, departmental metrics, throughput, and operational performance).
• Maintain expert-level proficiency in Smartsheet and other enterprise systems to support governance, visibility, and integration.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective data solutions.
• Manage data integration processes utilizing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) techniques with tools like Talend or Python scripting.
• Design and optimize SQL databases and queries within Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle environments for efficient data retrieval.
• Conduct comprehensive data analysis using Excel, R, Python, or VBA to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
• Support project management activities by applying Agile methodologies and tracking progress through SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) phases.
• Perform database design tasks including schema development and linked data integration to enhance data accessibility.
• Analyze software development lifecycle processes to improve reporting accuracy and system performance.
• Generate detailed reports for business analysis using visualization tools and reporting dashboards.
• Ensure data quality through validation procedures and maintain documentation using Visio or similar tools.

Business Intelligence Analyst Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance KPI dashboards, automated reports, and analytical models across departments.
• Audit enterprise data sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with SOPs and workflow standards.
• Partner with department leaders to translate operational needs into structured reporting and measurable performance indicators.
• Evaluate systems, workflows, and data flows to identify bottlenecks and propose improvements supported by quantitative insights.
• Support SOP and workflow design by validating process requirements through data analysis and operational performance trends.
• Manage recurring reporting cycles, including leadership scorecards, operational trend reports, and performance variance analyses.
• Support new system implementations by validating data integrity, mapping requirements, and configuring reporting structures.
• Maintain system governance by ensuring that data models, naming conventions, workflows, and integrations adhere to BI Team standards. Provide training on reporting tools, data interpretation, Smartsheet usage, and advanced AI/ChatGPT functionality.
• Collaborate with Production, PM, Install, ECommerce, Customer Service, and other departments to align reporting outputs with strategic priorities.
• Conduct competitive, market, or cost analyses to support strategic decision-making
• Use AI extensively in reporting, forecasting, automation, and insight generation.

• Strong competency in Excel and Power BI, including data management and visualization
• Familiarity with Power Automate, Power Apps, and MS Dynamics.
• Ability to analyze operational, production, and business process data.
• Experience with SOP systems, workflow platforms, or process documentation tools.
• Ability to audit, structure, and maintain enterprise datasets.
• Advanced AI/ChatGPT capabilities including prompt engineering and tool integrations.
• Ability to teach AI features and drive enterprise adoption.
