Job description

You’ll be part of an energetic team of six experts for Navigation product developments for Satellites in Vienna. Your role will be pivotal in technically shaping future GNSS Navigation Products and defining their capabilities, specifications and developments, all while exploring and advancing cutting-edge technologies and creating value for our customers. Our internal stakeholders, customers and external institutions, agencies, administrative authorities will rely on you as expert, ambassador and point-of-contact for our GNSS Navigation Products. You will also proactively take a driving role as Electronics System Engineer in our Viennese development teams with highly skilled engineers with various backgrounds and from different nationalities, each bringing their unique perspective to the table. Your mission: In this exciting position you are responsible for

  • Technically shaping the future GNSS Navigation Products and defining their capabilities and specifications and developments
  • Acting as ambassador and point-of-contact for the GNSS Navigation Products towards internal stakeholders, customers and external institutions, agencies, administrative authorities, etc.
  • Defining the GNSS Navigation Product system topology, performing the functional decomposition (HW, SW, FPGA) and compiling the system-level requirements
  • Supervision of system level analyses (electrical, radiation, reliability, thermal, mechanical) and product documentation
  • Active collaboration with and support of other teams and departments to ensure best possible trade-offs in terms of performance, schedule, budget, design-for-manufacturing and design-for-test
  • Actively contributing to improvements of the products, processes, methods and tools

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, space engineering, computer science or equivalent education
  • Preferably 5+ years’ experience in embedded processing system development and analysis
  • You have expert knowledge of designing satellite payloads, PNT algorithms, RF signal reception, generation, processing and high frequency antennas
  • You are confident in taking technical decisions with the right balance between cost, time, quality, and performance
  • You have a collaborative and creative mindset, share know-how and solve problems together in the team
  • You like to represent BG at technical conference and to shape future solutions together with our customers and partners
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written

  • We are required to state a minimum gross salary for this position in accordance with the collective agreement: this amounts to EUR 5287 ,- per month. The actual compensation is based on your qualifications and experience and will exceed the collective agreement minimum.
