IT system administrator

You are responsible for the maintenance of our technical infrastructure at all levels (virtual server in the cloud, physical IT infrastructure at our premises in Karlsruhe), 2nd level support for workplace systems and IT support for > 50 employees. Your tasks include the setup of complete workplaces and working environments, the designing and continuous modernization of our IT infrastructure, as well as the monitoring and operation of all network components (hardware, LAN, WiFi, router, firewall, VPN). You will furthermore supervise trainees. You will also work with external experts wherever necessary.

• training in informatics, lateral entrance possible with a certain degree of experience
• profound knowledge of current operating systems like Windows, Linux
• at least two years of professional experience in the implementation, administration, and maintenance of IT solutions
• an interest in AWS, container technology, Microsoft 365, VMWare VSphere, DBMS like Oracle or SQL Server
• good command of German and English (spoken and written)
• service and solution-oriented way of thinking, strong communication skills
