Head of Engineering (AI & Engineering Transformation)

With multiple established products and ambitious new initiatives underway, the business is entering its next phase of growth and is looking for a Head of Engineering to take ownership of engineering execution while transforming how software is built through AI-driven workflows and modern engineering practices.

This is a rare opportunity for a Head of Engineering to shape both the technical organisation and engineering culture. Working closely with the CTO and founders, the Head of Engineering will lead multiple engineering teams, introduce AI-powered development workflows, improve developer productivity and establish scalable processes that enable rapid delivery without compromising technical quality., * Lead the day-to-day engineering organisation across multiple product teams.

• Design and implement AI-assisted engineering workflows to improve developer productivity and code quality.
• Build scalable engineering processes that increase delivery speed while maintaining technical excellence.
• Partner with the CTO on engineering strategy, organisational design and technical direction.
• Remove delivery bottlenecks and improve execution across teams.
• Drive engineering hiring, mentoring and performance.
• Foster a high-ownership, fast-paced engineering culture focused on continuous improvement and AI adoption.

• Proven experience as a Head of Engineering, VP Engineering or similar senior engineering leadership position.
• Demonstrable success implementing AI-driven development workflows that have measurably improved engineering productivity.
• Experience leading engineering teams within fast-paced start-up or scale-up environments.
• Strong technical and architectural credibility with a hands-on leadership style.
• Experience scaling engineering organisations and introducing lightweight, effective delivery processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work closely with founders and executive leadership.
• Experience across SaaS, AI, media technology, or other modern product organisations is highly desirable.
