Job description
We’re looking for a hands-on technical person to work directly alongside us in our Brooklyn office. You’ll be my go-to builder - someone who can jump between shipping small web apps, wiring up automations, and sorting out the practical tech that keeps things running. This is a collaborative role, not a heads-down solo one, so being easy to work with matters as much as raw skill.
You should be comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, and the like) to move fast - but you also need to actually understand what the code does, catch the mistakes these tools make, and fix them. Speed is great; judgment is what we’re really hiring for.
What you’ll work on
- Building and maintaining web tools and apps in Node.js and React
- Setting up and troubleshooting DNS, domains, and email configuration
- Automating workflows and wrangling data in Google Sheets
- General problem-solving across whatever technical needs come up day to day
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Node.js and React
- Comfort with DNS and email setup/troubleshooting
- Strong with Google Sheets (formulas)
- Fluent with AI coding tools, but able to read, explain, and debug the code yourself
- Someone reliable, resourceful, and pleasant to work next to
- Able to work on-site in Brooklyn (11230) on the schedule above
Nice to have
- Things you’ve actually shipped that real people use (please share links)
- Experience with APIs, integrations, or light automation platforms
