You’ll be part of a growing Infrastructure Operations team, working closely with Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevSecOps and FinOps colleagues. Together, you’ll support a modern hybrid cloud environment, manage operational activities, contribute to key technology projects, and help deliver continuous improvement across the IT estate.

What’s the Role

  • Deliver 3rd line operational and infrastructure support across key IT services and systems.
  • Manage ITSM queues, monitoring platforms, vulnerability tools and operational backlogs.
  • Build, maintain and secure Azure infrastructure, leveraging Infrastructure as Code where appropriate.
  • Identify and implement automation and scripting opportunities across the technology estate.
  • Monitor, investigate and remediate operational, service and security alerts.
  • Support patching, compliance, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure best practices.
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects and provide operational acceptance before go-live.

Requirements

  • Experience in a 3rd line support or IT Operations role, with a strong focus on operational excellence and security best practices.
  • Strong expertise across Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy.
  • Hands-on experience designing, deploying and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs and firewalls.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform or Bicep.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting within production environments.
  • Exposure to or an interest in containerised platforms such as Kubernetes (AKS) or OpenShift would be beneficial.
