Job description

Analyze Data Sources & ETL Processes - Lead the assessment of data sources, ETL workflows, and database structures.
Identify Data Gaps - Detect data and process gaps; propose remediation and long term improvements.
Work with ETL & RDBMS Technologies - Utilize tools such as IBM DataStage, DB2, PostgreSQL, and others.
Handle Complex Data Formats - Work with XML, JSON, CSV, and other heterogeneous data structures.
Test REST/SOAP Integrations - Leverage a strong understanding of API integrations.
Build Python Automation - Develop Python tools for cross format data comparison and automated validation.
Communicate with Stakeholders - Translate technical insights into business friendly language for all levels, including leadership.
Act as a Business Data Liaison - Provide data driven insights that influence business strategy.
Manage Multiple Projects - Deliver high quality outcomes in a dynamic, research oriented environment.
Collaborate with Business Units - Document business needs, reporting requirements, and process challenges.
Design Scalable Pipelines - Build robust, efficient data pipelines using existing ETL frameworks.
Create Synthetic Datasets - Analyze source systems and generate test datasets.
Develop Automated Validation Tools - Ensure data integrity and generate comparison reports.
Apply Best Practices - Maintain quality across development, integration, and testing.
Use Generative AI - Enhance analysis, accelerate development, and improve documentation.
Perform Statistical Analysis - Identify patterns and generate actionable insights.
Provide Strategic Recommendations - Partner with business leaders to improve processes and inform decisions.

Preferred Experience

Insurance Domain Knowledge - Experience in insurance data environments is a strong plus.
Any ETL/Cloud Data Engineer Certification - Certification is beneficial but not mandatory.
