Join our dynamic team as a System Integration Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in Public Safety Systems Upgrades. In this pivotal role, you will lead the integration of complex public safety communication and management systems, ensuring seamless interoperability across diverse platforms. Your expertise will drive the successful design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise solutions that enhance public safety operations. This opportunity offers a chance to work on cutting-edge projects that make a tangible difference in communities, leveraging your deep technical knowledge and solution-oriented mindset to deliver innovative system upgrades with precision and confidence., * Lead the architecture and integration of public safety systems utilizing Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), ensuring scalable and flexible solutions.

  • Develop comprehensive solution architectures for system upgrades, encompassing hardware, software, network components, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to facilitate data migration and synchronization across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, perform detailed system design, and oversee software implementation efforts.
  • Conduct technical troubleshooting support for complex system issues related to system design, configuration management, and network security.
  • Manage system configuration, version control, and deployment processes using tools like Git, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, system hardening, and security audits to ensure compliance with enterprise security standards including cloud security protocols such as AWS and Azure.
  • Support the integration of diverse technologies including Salesforce, Pegasystems (Pega), JavaScript frameworks, RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement through Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban while maintaining documentation aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  • Provide technical guidance on systems engineering principles involving virtualization (VMware, ESXi), containerization (Kubernetes), load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, and network configurations including DHCP and GPO policies.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with enterprise solutions implementation within public safety or government sectors.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture design principles for large-scale IT infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in application development using languages such as JavaScript, C#, Python, Java, Ruby on Rails, C++, VBA or Shell Scripting.
  • Deep knowledge of operating systems including Windows and Linux/Unix environments; capable of performing system administration tasks.
  • Expertise in computer networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls; adept at troubleshooting network issues.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools; experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Skilled in cloud computing platforms like AWS and Azure; experienced in virtualization technologies such as VMware and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Ability to perform vulnerability management assessments including threat intelligence analysis and system hardening techniques.
  • Knowledge of web services protocols (RESTful API, SOAP), application integration methods (APIs), and microservices architecture.
  • Strong analytical skills complemented by excellent problem-solving capabilities; capable of debugging complex systems efficiently.
