Job description

We are seeking an experienced Software Architect to lead the design and development of enterprise software solutions supporting mission-critical government programs. The Software Architect will be responsible for designing new applications, modernizing existing systems, and ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures across multiple platforms., * Design and develop new enterprise software applications and major enhancements to existing systems.

  • Define software architecture and technical strategies that support business and mission objectives.
  • Evaluate system integration, interoperability, and cross-platform compatibility.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to software development teams.
  • Analyze existing systems and recommend modernization strategies.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for proposed projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, cybersecurity teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance software architectures.
  • Ensure software solutions follow industry best practices and organizational standards.
  • Support projects throughout the full software development lifecycle from planning through deployment.

Requirements

This role requires strong technical leadership, the ability to evaluate emerging technologies, and experience guiding development teams through the full software development lifecycle., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant software architecture or software engineering experience.
  • Experience designing enterprise-level software solutions.
  • Experience with systems integration and multi-platform environments.
  • Experience leading technical design efforts and supporting software development teams.
  • Strong understanding of modern software architecture principles and software development methodologies.

Required Certifications Candidates must possess a relevant technical certification from a nationally recognized certification authority. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Core Infrastructure
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Data Management and Analytics
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
  • Equivalent industry-recognized technical certification

Security Requirements

  • Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • Must possess IT-II / Tier 3 (Moderate Risk) eligibility, including one of the following at the time of proposal submission:
  • Current Tier 3 Investigation
  • NACLC
  • ANACI
  • Equivalent National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Federal Government or Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Experience designing cloud-based or hybrid software architectures.
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps development methodologies.
  • Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
