The Cyber Operations and Incident Response Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s cyber incident response and operational security activities. This role directs response strategies, guides investigations, coordinates remediation efforts, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to protect the organization from cyber threats. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to develop and implement effective incident response plans., Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned., * Direct and coordinate cyber operations and incident response activities across the organization.
- Develop and implement incident response plans, playbooks, and escalation procedures.
- Lead investigations of security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and oversee remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and risk teams to ensure timely and effective response to cyber threats.
- Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and regular security exercises.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on cyber incident response protocols.
Requirements
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in incident response or cyber operations leadership.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, or CEH.
- Strong understanding of threat intelligence, malware analysis, and security forensics.
