Job description
To ensure that the district receives the maximum funding and reports data accurately for accountability and decision-making. Assist in coding, verify, and monitor student data for an assigned set of schools in accordance with federal, state, and district guidelines. Responsible for analysis of state mandates and resolution of reporting issues, research and provide guidance to schools to ensure accuracy of complex student data coding and accuracy of state reporting in support of district funding and programs. Responsible for the submission of appropriate state funding reports and data quality within the state-mandated student information system. Work is performed under minimal supervision with latitude for exercising independent judgment and initiative., * Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize duties within a fast paced environment. Results oriented with strong sense of initiative and urgency. Proven ability to work with clients and customers at all levels within the organization. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to express complex ideas with clarity and precision. Ability to travel locally. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc) and Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc). Skilled in using the Internet for work-related research. Must have ability to analyze issues, shift priorities, and cope with ambiguity in a fast-pasted environment.

Analyze SDE-mandated Student Information System, LevelData, SDE SQR, and Data Central reports for the purpose of identifying, establishing, and maintaining quality controls as they apply to ensuring accuracy of student data.

Provide direction and assistance to schools, offices, and district staff in resolving problems relating to all student data as in accordance with federal, state, and district guidelines.

Comprehends federal, state, and district guidelines related to data monitoring goals and applies those to the student information system core, state, and custom fields.
- Provide technical support and data coding guidance with respect to applicable instructional and support services programs;

Performs monitoring tasks as it relates to the schools to include enrollment, attendance, scheduling, grading, and incident management reporting.
- Take initiative to identify training needs and execute coaching.
- Conduct periodic meetings and assigned school personnel for training.
- Provides daily performance management to assigned schools to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity;
- Act as liaison between schools and Central Staff for submission and accuracy of student data.
- Communicate actively with Central Offices to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data.
Requirements
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent Associate’s Degree Bachelor’s Degree
Master’s Degree Other, Associate Degree or 4-7 years of experience management of student information to include exposure to or familiarity with federal, state, and district coding guidelines for funding and programs. Display excellent communication skills with students, teachers, administrators, parents and community partners. Display leadership and supervisory skills., High School Diploma or Equivalent

- Present funding reports and student data to assigned schools and district staff;

Identify and develop plans to improve effectiveness and efficiencies in support of accuracy of data within the student information system and related reporting, * Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components. Ability to sit for extended periods of time; Ability to deal with stress associated with meeting multiple deadlines.

Use of computer, printer, telephone, scanner, MS Office software, Google Apps, Adobe Acrobat, GMail and ability to complete complex administrative processes.
- Work is performed in a normal heated or air-conditioned office environment. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Moderate degree of stress based on a fast paced environment with fluctuating deadlines.
