Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain the software build infrastructure supporting Common Services and Network Solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize automated build scripts for Continuous Integration (CI) and release builds.
- Configure and manage build pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps to support software development and release activities.
- Perform software builds, release management, version control, and configuration management activities.
- Monitor build health, troubleshoot build failures, and provide timely support to software development teams.
- Create and maintain build status dashboards and information radiators to improve build visibility and reporting.
- Develop scripting solutions to automate build, integration, validation, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with software developers, DevOps engineers, and quality teams to improve build efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, and release workflows using Git.
- Support software release activities, configuration audits, and change management processes.
- Train development teams on build tools, configuration management processes, and best practices.
- Continuously improve CI/CD infrastructure and DevOps capabilities to enhance software delivery quality and speed.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Configuration Management and Build Automation.
- 3+ years of experience with Git version control.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines.
- Experience designing and maintaining automated build, integration, and validation pipelines.
- Strong scripting experience for build automation.
- Proficiency in Python and Perl.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Strong programming skills in C.
- Knowledge of software configuration management principles and release engineering.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Experience with Conan package management.
- Embedded C software development experience.
- Experience with Ivy build dependency management.
- Experience using ClearCase.
- Familiarity with DevOps best practices and CI/CD workflows., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in Configuration Management, Build Engineering, or Release Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience designing and supporting DevOps capabilities, including Continuous Build, Continuous Integration, and automated validation pipelines.
