Job description
The Configuration Management Analyst supports DoD acquisition programs by maintaining configuration management databases, tracking engineering changes, conducting configuration audits, and ensuring compliance with DoD and industry CM standards. This role works across integrated product teams to ensure system baselines are accurately controlled, documented, and communicated throughout the program lifecycle., * Assist in maintaining configuration management databases and documentation
- Assist in identifying and documenting configuration changes
- Assist in developing Configuration Control Board document packages
- Assist in briefing Configuration Control Board members and participants
- Assist in developing DD-Form 1692 Engineering Change Proposals
- Assist in conducting configuration audits and assessments under supervision
- Develop familiarity with configuration management tools and software
- Assist in developing and implementing configuration management plans
- Assist in coordinating with cross-functional teams on configuration-related matters
- Develop foundational knowledge of DoD and industry CM standards and regulations
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in all CM data activities
- Apply basic knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation in CM contexts
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent
- Experience: 0-5 years of related CM or engineering experience, * Mid-Level to High-Level Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Products such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Experience with DoD CM standards (MIL-HDBK-61B, EIA-649)
- Familiarity with Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
- Proficiency in CM tools such as PTC Windchill, CMPRO, or equivalent
