Job description

BDR Solutions is seeking a Senior Application Developer (Java/ReactJS) to deliver PBBA (Partnership Bipartisan Budget Act) O&M and infrastructure currency under the IRS CAS program., * Provide ongoing PBBA O&M (TA8): legislative and functional updates, defect correction, UI fixes, end-user issue support, ServiceNow ticket resolution (~10,000+ transactions/month)

  • Execute PBBA infrastructure currency package (TA7): implement SSO integration, JDK upgrade, dependency remediation, and RHEL-to-OpenShift containerization within approved milestones
  • Update ESB-to-Java interface connections as part of PBBA currency work
  • Submit change requests for IRS approval prior to production deployment; validate in non-production environments; produce release evidence
  • Update PBBA runbooks, configuration documentation, and operational procedures after each approved change
  • Produce PBBA O&M deliverables and currency implementation evidence per the Deliverables schedule

Requirements

  • 4+ years developing and sustaining Java applications in a federal production environment
  • ReactJS or comparable front-end framework experience
  • OpenShift or Kubernetes containerization of existing Java applications
  • SSO integration experience: SAML, OAuth2, identity provider configuration
  • Federal IT change management and FISMA compliance familiarity
  • Active IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required, * Direct IRS D&PE application program experience (PBBA, TCS, or PTS)
  • Active MBI from IRS D&PE program
  • JDK upgrade and legacy Java modernization experience
  • ServiceNow end-user support and ticket management

Benefits & conditions

The salary compensation range for this position is $140,000 - $165,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment is not guaranteed and will proceed only if the associated contract is awarded and funded.
